Succulents

PHP 45 each (including the pots) from Market Market

How gorgeous are these? I've always loved plants especially flowers but they're quite expensive to constantly buy whenever they wither. They never last long either, probably because I don't know how to properly take care of them. Cactus on the other hand; are inexpensive, low maintenance and live longer. There are so many different ones to choose from and they're all unique from one another.

My personal favorite's the one in the last photo. I bought these during the evening and was pleasantly surprised to see that it actually has three flowers, the next morning. I don't know the specific names for each one but I did some research and I found out that some cacti's flowers close at night or during cloudy weather. The one selling this just told me to water them (spray) once a week. Doesn't get any more low maintenance than that! The pots have holes in the bottom so I just borrowed this rectangular tray from my mom, which I think even adds a nice touch.

I've seen these white skull shaped pots around the net and I think it would look awesome with the brain looking cactus (left of first and second photos) so I'm on the hunt for that. If you know where to find them in Manila let me know!

Do you have any plants in your home?

  1. I have uhm, a plant...with leaves...in my room...and let's just say I'm not the best caretaker of it. (Did I just say my plant has leaves wtf)

I should consider succulents in my room though! I have plenty to choose from, since my mom cares for them in our house...somewhere. ._.'' (And darn, they are extremely easy to care for)

  3. I'm totally obsessed with succulents! I have them on my window sill in my studio. I don't have a cactus, but since you say they're much more low maintenance, I think I'll get one soon! :)
