Now Open: Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen in Rockwell

Ramen is so big here in Manila that there's a ramen bar everywhere now, and at least one in each mall. Rockwell has a few Japanese restaurants already like Kuretake, Sumo Sam and Zaifu but not one specializing in ramen. It was about time!

Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen opened their newest branch in the P1 level of Rockwell, beside Cafe Mediterranean.

Pinkberry Mango Frozen Yogurt

The coconut frozen yogurt isn't always available, but at least it gives me an excuse to try other flavors like their newest one - mango!
Mango Frozen Yogurt (medium, 140-180 calories)
with raspberries, blueberries, mangoes, toasted almonds and low fat oats + honey granola
PHP 220 (because of the luxe toppings: blueberries and raspberries)

If you haven't tried Pinkberry yet I suggest you stop by! They have something for everyone and aren't just limited to frozen yogurt. For more details check out their website, you'll be singing along to the annoying but catchy Pinkberry jingle in no time "sorry ice cream I'm dreaming of a different dessert, Pinkberry shaved ice and frozen yogurt" see? Ugh. And yes, I actually searched for the lyrics.

Now Open: Blo Blow Dry Bar Rockwell

The long wait is now over!!! Blo Rockwell opened their doors to the public last Sunday, February 10. I was fortunate enough to be invited to their opening last Friday, February 8.

A woman's happy place is what this is. I love how the interiors are neutral with a pop of hot pink here and there. The black and white photos of Audrey Hepburn also add a cute touch to the whole look.

The Blo stylists hard at work

The blow dry bar comfortably seats eight people at a time and there are also three washing stations available.
The blow dry bar is located on the P1 level, beside True Value and Bank of Commerce. Near Mercury Drug and McDonald's.
Sweet and savory treats for the guests.

I didn't ask for any particular look from the Hair Menu, just for some big waves. One thing I noticed about their service is that they work really fast! I don't know how they do it - most salons take about an hour or more to achieve the big waves I like with my ultra thick (and previously rebonded) hair but it only took about 30 minutes for them. Not only was the process fast but the curls lasted all night long.
Pink lemonade, pink macaroon, pink everything!

I like how they store their hair tools, no wires laying around everywhere! They've got every tool you'll need for gorgeous locks.

Don't worry, you're not limited to the looks on the menu. You can bring a photo of what you want your hair to look like or just simply explain it to your stylist. The people here are all extremely nice and patient, they'll attend to all your needs! All you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the lush experience. If you're feeling extra luxurious that day, you can also get a deep conditioning treatment or even get some clip-on extensions! They also offer blow dries for men here.

They also offer home service and group styling for any occasion! From girls night outs to bridal showers to weddings.

It's not just the bride who needs gorgeous hair, the whole entourage does too! Click on the photos above for the ratings.

Thank you so much to the entire Blo family for the luscious treat, most especially to Howard, Edward and Michelle for inviting me and being extremely kind.

For you girls who like having red carpet-ready hair, getting pampered, quick and great service - and pink, then I strongly suggest you stop whatever you're doing right now, get off my blog and get a Blo!

Watch out for their Serendra branch to open, soon!

Comments / More Information:
- Their Frozen Virgin Margarita was like frozen lemonade. I really liked this but my parents thought it was too sour
- Their burritos are not as big as compared to the burritos from Ristras and B&T Mexican Kitchen, but actually the perfect size for one person. I was able to finish mine all on my own and got really full
- You can enjoy any of their burritos through your choice of style: fajita burrito, burrito bowl (open faced) or chimichangga (deep fried) This information wasn't stated anywhere I just had to ask the waitress
- For their sandwiches there are two different kinds of bread you can choose from. The waitress didn't bother to ask my mom and my tita which one they'd prefer so they had to just settle with whatever was served to them

Achiote Taqueria
Address: R1 Level Power Plant Mall, Rockwell Center, Makati City (sandwiched between Mamou and Kuretake; there's no direct entrance to the restaurant from the mall so you have to go out of the mall by the Via Mare exit to get there)
