Beauty Favorites:

Ahava Uplifting Butter Salt
There are no grains of salt in this whatsoever, it's consistency is really thick and moisturizing and not harsh on the skin at all. This product feels so luxurious and I'm obsessed with the Mandarin Cedarwood scent, I'm trying my best to use it slowly and save it!

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay

My favorite deep cleansing mask for when my skin just isn't looking or feeling good. It's an instant at-home facial! Read up on my review on this product here.

Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation

Hands down one of the best foundations I've tried, that gives a medium to full coverage. What I like about this is that it doesn't look cakey or feel heavy on the skin at all. I love applying this with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush for a flawless, natural look.

Ahava Body Sorbet Caress

Best body lotion ever. No sticky feeling and my skin drinks it all up so quickly! It feels light too, which is important for someone who lives in a tropical country where it's hot all the time.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo

Helps reduce my imperfections faster, especially those pesky tiny bumps on my face. Click here for my review on this product.

NYX Blush in Taupe

My go-to bronzer as of lately!

Too Cool for School Dinoplatz Lost Identity

The lip product I grab when I wanna put some color on my lips to liven up my face, while still maintaing a natural look. Ideal for girls in school cause it lasts long which means less applications and touch ups. This one's always in my bag! Click here for my review.

Real Techniques Buffing Brush

The only brush I've been using for my foundations and bb creams! There hasn't been a time that I put makeup on without using this brush since I got it. Click here for my review.

Real Techniques Blush Brush

I find that this brush picks up just the right amount of blush I need, no more no less. Click here for my review.

Too Cool for School Dinoplatz Lost Identity

Too Cool for School is a Korean makeup brand targeted to the young. I found out about this brand randomly when I entered their store while walking around in Seoul during my trip to Korea a few months ago. I've never heard of this store before but I was automatically drawn to it cause of the store's interior. It was different from most Korean makeup stores because it wasn't full of pink and cutesy things (ya know what I mean), not that I don't like those brands, Too Cool for School just stood out more among it. (Think a Korean, 'edgier', Benefit.)

I recently found out that they've opened a store here in the Philippines, in Mall of Asia to be exact. I hardly go to that mall since it's quite far and too big that I'd get lost, but I'm willing to go all the way there just to pay that store a visit. Hopefully they'll branch out soon and open in other malls in the Metro. Crossing my fingers!
Too Cool for School has a product called the Dinoplatz Lost Identity. They have three shades available: Lost in You Pink, Lost in Hawaii Orange and the green one in the photo above which is Lost in Dinoplatz Mint. The idea of this product is that it changes color once applied to the lips.
I swatched this on the back of my hand in the store and I loved the shade of pink that it produced on my skin. When I finally used it on my lips, I noticed that it turned out more pink than how it was swatched on my hand. I still liked how it looked on my lips but that's just something to keep in mind before purchasing this! Make sure you actually try it on your lips first (wipe the entire lip product with tissue first for sanitation) because you might like how it looks on your hand but not like how it looks on your lips.

I own a red lip and cheek tint from The Body Shop already and I love that, but this is nice to own so I can switch up the colors on my lips when I want to. As I've said before, lip tints come in handy for students like me because it looks natural and lasts pretty long. It glides on like a lip balm but eventually dries up on the lips just like any other lip tint. Apply this on smooth lips and apply a lip balm before the Dinoplatz if your lips are dry.

Availability: I bought this while I was in Korea, and this product isn't on the Too Cool for School Philippines website so I'm not sure if it's available in MOA.
Price: 11,000 won / around PHP 430
Size: 2.5 g

Pinkberry Mango Frozen Yogurt

The coconut frozen yogurt isn't always available, but at least it gives me an excuse to try other flavors like their newest one - mango!
Mango Frozen Yogurt (medium, 140-180 calories)
with raspberries, blueberries, mangoes, toasted almonds and low fat oats + honey granola
PHP 220 (because of the luxe toppings: blueberries and raspberries)

If you haven't tried Pinkberry yet I suggest you stop by! They have something for everyone and aren't just limited to frozen yogurt. For more details check out their website, you'll be singing along to the annoying but catchy Pinkberry jingle in no time "sorry ice cream I'm dreaming of a different dessert, Pinkberry shaved ice and frozen yogurt" see? Ugh. And yes, I actually searched for the lyrics.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (European Version)

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (European version)
PHP 1,100 from Digital Traincase
"Dual Action Acne Treatment"
"Corrective and Unclogging Anti-Imperfection Care"

According to the UK La Roche-Posay website:
Who is this for?
Oily skin with irregular texture, prone to imperfections, blemishes and spots.

What does it do?
Pores are unclogged and purified to help reduce the development of future breakouts. Helps to reduce skin imperfections leaving skin looking clearer and feeling smoother.

How to use?
Apply morning and/or night to the entire face. Can be used as a make-up base.

This product has done wonders for my skin. I suffer from a lot of whiteheads, acne and random tiny bumps on my face (especially on my forehead, temples, cheeks); and I can say that it has visibly reduced ever since I've been using this. Effaclar Duo is designed to unclog sebum-blocked pores and correct all those imperfections. It did not just reduce my imperfections but it has improved my skin overall - it looks clearer, healthier and softer. I've found that it removes the bumps and whiteheads on my face after some applications but for acne the effect is slower, so I additionally dot on spot treatments to acne on top of this.

According to the La Roche-Posay website, you may use this all over the face twice a day but I only use this every night and smear it on the problematic areas of my face. It has a light gel consistency that is not sticky and feels comfortable, plus it has a pleasant scent too (light and fresh). I recommend this to everyone who suffers from imperfections, especially those who have combination/oily and acne prone skin.
Keep in mind that there are two versions to the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo - the European (the version people are raving about) and the American version. People claim that they are two entirely different products, the US having 5.5% Benzoyl Peroxide which is too strong for some people to use all over the face, but is good for spot treating. Learn more about their differences here. Make sure you've done your research on both versions to know which one would suit your skin better. If you haven't figured it out yet, you can differentiate the two by looking at the bottom of the packaging, "Made in France" for European and "Made in USA" for the American.

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Available in Healthy Options for PHP 429 (contains 1 lb / 454 g)
"World's Most Powerful Facial"
Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay is 100% natural calcium bentonite clay from Death Valley, California; where it is sun dried for up to six months in temperatures that sometimes reach 134 degrees. This helps remove impurities and dirt from the pores, lifts pimples and blackheads, and is ideal for deep pore cleansing.

Directions:

1. Mix clay with equal parts of raw apple cider vinegar and/or water. It is best to use a glass, pottery or wooden bowl; do not use a metal bowl or utensil. Stir the mixture well to a smooth paste. Add more clay or liquid as needed.
Since I'm fairly new to this product, I decided to use water first instead of apple cider vinegar. I also add more filtered water (I'm sure you can use tap water but I dunno this makes me feel safer) to the equal parts mixture until it's a smooth paste. One teaspoon each of clay and water is more than enough for the whole face. Also remember to use warm water because the paste just ends up lumpy and not smooth with cold water.

2. Apply 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch to the face or other area.
1/4 inch thick is that even possible... I just slather on as much product as I can on my face using a clean foundation brush.

3. Let it dry for 5 - 10 minutes for delicate skin and 15 - 20 minutes for normal skin.
The first time I used this as a mask, I left it on for 10 minutes. The second time, I left it on for 15 minutes.

4. Remove clay by washing with warm water.
I run a washcloth in warm water and use this to remove most of the product off of my face, then follow up with a rinse. Slight redness of the skin is completely normal and will disappear in about 30 minutes.

Other Recipes:

Antioxidant Mask
Mix equal parts of the clay with brewed green tea and 500 mg. of vitamin c with bioflavonoids. Apply to skin, allow to dry and rinse.

Foot Mask
Mix equal parts of clay with brewed Pau d' Arco Tea and 5 drops of tea tree oil. Apply to feet, especially in between toes, let fry for 30 minutes and rinse well in warm water.

Honey Mask
Mix equal parts clay with apple cider vinegar, add 1 tbsp raw honey. Apply to skin, allow to dry for 10 minutes and rinse with warm water.

Body Pack
Mix half a pound of clay with half a pint of apple cider vinegar. Apply a thin coat of mixture to the body and allow to dry for 15 - 20 minutes. Rinse well in the shower.

Tips / Recommendations:
- If you're new to this product, I suggest you test this out first by using water instead of apple cider vinegar and leave it on for 10 minutes. Just for you to get the feel of how it reacts to your skin, because apple cider vinegar and leaving it on for a long time might be too harsh for some.
- Using a foundation brush will let you have better control of applying the product and give a more precise and even application. Plus it leaves your brush soft and smooth afterwards!
- It's best to use this at night, since it leaves the skin slightly red after.

Thoughts:
This is hands down my all time favorite mask! I use this once a week and it's helped in overall improving my skin. After removing the mask my skin feels clean but still hydrated, refreshed, soft and brighter. If you have oily and acne prone skin, I definitely recommend this product. Plus it's cheap, especially for the amount of product given.

Burger Bar

Burger Bar is located right on top of Namnam in Greenbelt 2.

Speculoos Cookie Butter Milkshake PHP 290
Really rich and smooth - and so yummy! I'm not too fond of having dessert-sweet drinks with my meal so I happily sipped on this after my burger.
Peach Iced Tea PHP 65
Buttermilk Chicken Tenders with Roasted Jalapeno Ranch
& Curried Mango Aioli
PHP 290

Honestly nothing really special about the chicken, or the sauce either. We finished this but it's not something I'd order again - I'd probably try their other appetizers.
The Rising Shroom (single patty) PHP 280
"Mustard-fried double patty Steak Cut Blend of sirloin & chuck, fried oyster mushroom tempura, white truffle creamed cheese & sauteed mushrooms all on a Kaiser Roll"
I'm a huge cheese, mushroom and mustard lover so this really hit the spot for me! The Kaiser Roll isn't too big (which I like) but still heavy with the stuff in the burger, making each bite a mouthful. Hooray for thick patties!

Grace Park • Take II

Iced Tea Shake PHP 115
Their house blend iced tea has a mix of caramel in it. It was an interesting combination of flavors and I drank it all up, although I don't think that this would be everyone's cup of tea.
3 Page Salad PHP 220
"Organic field greens and honey-dijon dressing"

Spaghettini with Uni, Cherry Tomatoes & Live Shrimp PHP 525
Wish there was more uni in the pasta, rather than adding a lot of shrimp to compensate for the tiny bits of uni here and there. I enjoyed it, nonetheless!

Eton Mess with Raspberries & Blackberries PHP 260
Pavlova, cream, raspberries and blackberries. They were generous with the amount of raspberries and blackberries that I had one with almost every spoonful. The serving size is quite big, so it's perfect for sharing. My favorite dessert at the moment!
