|This product has done wonders for my skin. I suffer from a lot of whiteheads, acne and random tiny bumps on my face (especially on my forehead, temples, cheeks); and I can say that it has visibly reduced ever since I've been using this. Effaclar Duo is designed to unclog sebum-blocked pores and correct all those imperfections. It did not just reduce my imperfections but it has improved my skin overall - it looks clearer, healthier and softer. I've found that it removes the bumps and whiteheads on my face after some applications but for acne the effect is slower, so I additionally dot on spot treatments to acne on top of this.|
According to the La Roche-Posay website, you may use this all over the face twice a day but I only use this every night and smear it on the problematic areas of my face. It has a light gel consistency that is not sticky and feels comfortable, plus it has a pleasant scent too (light and fresh). I recommend this to everyone who suffers from imperfections, especially those who have combination/oily and acne prone skin.
|Keep in mind that there are two versions to the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo - the European (the version people are raving about) and the American version. People claim that they are two entirely different products, the US having 5.5% Benzoyl Peroxide which is too strong for some people to use all over the face, but is good for spot treating. Learn more about their differences here. Make sure you've done your research on both versions to know which one would suit your skin better. If you haven't figured it out yet, you can differentiate the two by looking at the bottom of the packaging, "Made in France" for European and "Made in USA" for the American.|
