La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (European version) PHP 1,100 from Digital Traincase "Dual Action Acne Treatment" "Corrective and Unclogging Anti-Imperfection Care" |
According to the UK La Roche-Posay website:
Who is this for?
Oily skin with irregular texture, prone to imperfections, blemishes and spots.
What does it do?
Pores are unclogged and purified to help reduce the development of future breakouts. Helps to reduce skin imperfections leaving skin looking clearer and feeling smoother.
How to use?
Apply morning and/or night to the entire face. Can be used as a make-up base.
This product has done wonders for my skin. I suffer from a lot of whiteheads, acne and random tiny bumps on my face (especially on my forehead, temples, cheeks); and I can say that it has visibly reduced ever since I've been using this. Effaclar Duo is designed to unclog sebum-blocked pores and correct all those imperfections. It did not just reduce my imperfections but it has improved my skin overall - it looks clearer, healthier and softer. I've found that it removes the bumps and whiteheads on my face after some applications but for acne the effect is slower, so I additionally dot on spot treatments to acne on top of this. According to the La Roche-Posay website, you may use this all over the face twice a day but I only use this every night and smear it on the problematic areas of my face. It has a light gel consistency that is not sticky and feels comfortable, plus it has a pleasant scent too (light and fresh). I recommend this to everyone who suffers from imperfections, especially those who have combination/oily and acne prone skin. |
Keep in mind that there are two versions to the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo - the European (the version people are raving about) and the American version. People claim that they are two entirely different products, the US having 5.5% Benzoyl Peroxide which is too strong for some people to use all over the face, but is good for spot treating. Learn more about their differences here. Make sure you've done your research on both versions to know which one would suit your skin better. If you haven't figured it out yet, you can differentiate the two by looking at the bottom of the packaging, "Made in France" for European and "Made in USA" for the American. |

Great to know that it works on whiteheads! Those tiny bugggers I cant seem to get rid of! :) French skincare really is so simple but so effective. Grabe the markup here though! Super cheap lang nito sa french pharmacies!
ReplyDeleteTrue but I still think it's worth the price even with the mark up though, it's just that good :) Just gonna have to stock up on this when I go out of the country na lang!
DeleteAnd I love French skincare too I just wish we had more brands available!

Hi Carmen! Will check it out :)
DeleteOoh I wouldn't have known there were two versions of the Effaclar Duo! Glad to know of that, I wanted to try this product but I don't really get acne so it might not be the right thing for my skin :P How long did you think until you saw results? Been hearing so much about this!
ReplyDeleteMe too I was so confused at first haha! And consider yourself lucky ♥
DeleteI was personally able to see a slight difference (especially with bumps and whiteheads) by the next day :) With acne it takes a lot longer!
Glad that it works well for you c: Xx
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ice!! Hope it doesn't stop working on me!
DeleteI didn't know they have two versions and nice that it works for you.

I didn't know there were two versions! I'd love to try it on my disgustingly blackhead-riddled nose but I have dry skin and I don't know if it'll be good on me too :(
ReplyDeleteMight not work out for you since you have dry skin.. Maybe a clay mask will do the trick or you can always use pore strips :)
