'Cue Modern Barbecue

Complimentary
Fried Buttermilk Wings PHP 355
"Sweet, maple-pepper glaze, panko crusted"
The sweet and salty combination was delicious, plus it was fried to a perfect golden brown, without it being too greasy.

Bone Marrow and Steak Tacos PHP 485
"Roasted corn salsa, flour tortillas, sweet n spicy salsa verde"
So sinful!!!!

I expected this starter to be served ready to eat, but the whole process of assembling the taco is what made the dish even more interesting. I feel like they put a lot of thought into this dish, from how all the flavors and textures go together to the presentation.

Southern Greens (Half) PHP 215
"House-mix lettuce, red and green apples, candied walnuts, house-made orange and creamy blue cheese dressing"
We ordered some greens to feel a little less guilty about what we just devoured. A simple salad was the way to go!

Brown Cow Float PHP 135
"Rootbeer & Vanilla Ice-Cream"
Oops..

Freshly-Brewed Iced Tea PHP 90
The 'Cue Burger PHP 420
"A 6oz house-blend all-beef patty, mozzarella and smoked provolone, chorizo slices, arugula, a slap of red wine bbq sauce | butter grilled bun"

It was okay, I've had tastier burgers in the past. The sweet potato fries were pretty good though.

Blistered Tomatoes and Roasted Garlic Spaghetti PHP 285
"Red chiles, white tequila, tomato oil"

Nothing much exciting about this, but you can never go wrong with oil based pastas and lots of garlic. Oh, and my new favorite book "Eat Out Now" recommended it so of course I had to order it!

Hand Cut Charred Corned Beef PHP 685
"House-made, dark ale brined half pounder, green and purple cabbage, sweet potatoes, carrots, buttered corn rice and creamy horseradish"
Each spoonful I had of the tender corned beef and steamy hot buttered corn rice was so yummy. One of my favorites of the night.

The Baby Back Ribs (Half Slab) - with a side of Buttermilk Whipped Potatoes PHP 645
"Slow-baked then barbecued, wet, house-made barbecue glaze"

Served with 2 house-made sides and 2 sauces of your choice
Caramel Vanilla Bread Pudding Jar PHP 195
"Baked and spiked with dark bourbon caramel, crunch granola and vanilla ice cream"
Heaven in my mouth!!!! Everything we ordered from 'Cue down to the dessert did not disappoint.

The Cake Club • Take III

The waiter recommended the Smoked Salmon Benedict, Mediterranean Eggs, Homemade Corned Beef Stuffed Blinis and Stuffed French Toast.
Their brunch is only available from 9 am to 3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Grande Reserve (Regular) PHP 120

Chilled Mango Juice PHP 100

Homemade Corned Beef Stuffed Blinis PHP 325
"Creamy scrambled eggs, Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, whole-grain mustard sauce, vine ripe tomatoes"

The scrambled eggs were really fluffy and a bit runny which is just the way I like them. The corned beef was delicious, not the cheap kind that you would get out of a canned one in the supermarket. I like how the mustard also really complimented everything else. It's a simple but yummy dish I'd love to start my day with every morning.

Truffle Fries PHP 180
"Sea salt flakes, garlic mayonnaise or ketchup"

Smoked Salmon Benedict PHP 345
"Whole wheat and quinoa pancakes, olive oil cooked asparagus, hollandaise sauce"

I liked everything about this dish except for the whole wheat quinoa pancakes that they used. The bread had the texture of a stiff muffin which I didn't enjoy at all. I was expecting something like an english muffin, slightly crunchy on the outside but chewy inside. It kind of ruined the entire thing for me, although my mom really enjoyed it and loved the pancakes. I guess it all depends on your preference?

A perfectly poached egg - plus points for them!

Coming Soon: Bershka in Glorietta 2

Whenever I'm out of the country I always make sure to stop by Bershka at least once, and I've never left their stores empty handed! A lot of you may already know that Bershka has been available in Manila for quite some time now - in a house located in Greenmeadows. I'm happy to share with you guys that they're finally opening their first legitimate shop here in Manila, expect a bigger store with a wider selection of apparel than their current "store" in Greenmeadows. I heard that their store in Greenmeadows doesn't offer men's clothing but hopefully it will be available once their Glorietta branch opens. Sadly there's no news yet as to when they're opening, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled!

Description taken from Wikipedia:
"Bershka is a retailer and part of the Spanish Inditex group (who also own the brands of ZaraMassimo Dutti, Pull and Bear, Oysho, UterqüeStradivarius and Zara Home). The company was created in April 1998 as a new store and fashion concept, aimed at a young target market. It now has 785 stores in 51 countries around the world. The sales made from Bershka represent 10% of the Inditex group."
