Yoga+ Makati

Yoga+'s third, newest studio started operations only a month ago, last July 23. The studio is tucked away in Salcedo Village in Makati.
Yoga+ occupies the entire 3rd floor of the building. Once you get off the elevator, you must remove your shoes and place them in the racks provided as shown below.
Male and female toilets are located in this area as well (there are none inside the changing rooms).
Upon entering the studio, you have to swipe your Yoga+ card in the reception area just like in the BGC branch. This might be new to you if you only go to the Ortigas branch where you have to leave your card with the receptionist, who then hands you a locker key and both bath and mat towels.
Past the reception is a lounge, and one of two entrances to the Yang Room.
To the right of the reception is a long hallway; the lockers line the left side and past them are doors to the Yang Room, Towel Room and Office; to the right of the hallway is the water dispenser, male and female Changing Rooms and lastly the Yin Room. You must bring your own lock to be able to use one of the hundred lockers provided. Heads up to Ortigas students!

Yang Room
A peek inside the Yang Room, which is more or less the same size as BGC's, with a ton of heaters hanging from the ceiling. Two sides of the room are mirrored.
Each student is entitled to use a mat towel for free, but the studio charges P30 for a bath towel. Might as well bring your own bath towel! Another heads up to all Ortigas students.

Inside the Women's Changing Room, where hair dryers and clothes racks are provided.
There are seven showers and one changing stall inside the Women's Changing Room.
Yin Room
Inside the Yin Room - no heaters and mirrors. The Yin Room is around the same size as the Ortigas yoga room. Makati is the only Yoga+ branch with two separate yoga rooms.

For more information about Yoga+ including their class schedules, studios, instructors, and more, head on over to their website! For my review on the Yoga+ Ortigas branch, click here. If you're new to Yoga+, they offer First-Timer Packages that you may avail: PHP 1,000 for one week unlimited and PHP 3,000 for one month unlimited. If you have any further questions (like their rates), please do not hesitate to comment down below.

    1. I was the same when I first started! I'd always be way too lazy and tell myself that " I'll go tomorrow." Of course tomorrow never comes haha! Recently though I've been good and I'm trying to go everyday! The trick for me is that I don't let myself contemplate if I should go or not, and just go like it's mandatory. Sounds simple but it actually works for me :)

  15. Hi :) This is very useful for a newbie like me. Great post, Jessica :)

Uhmm, I'm looking for a yoga studio... Yesterday I went to Yoga+ Makati because it's just a few steps from my work which is good for a lazy bone like me. Hee And yes, Yoga+ Makati looks so good that it impressed me as I step out of the elevator. I got myself thinking that this would be my future yoga studio, very soon.

Uhmmm, may I ask some more tips for newbies? Thanks :)

    1. Thank you so much Belle!! That's so great, and how convenient that your work is nearby! That means no excuses hehe just kidding. I thought the exact same thing about the studio - the staff and instructors are really warm and friendly too, it's a very welcoming and non-competitive environment.

I'm no professional but as a yoga student like yourself I think it's important to stay hydrated by drinking lots of water, not just before and during class. And never go on an empty stomach! I've done that a couple of times and I always felt dizzy afterwards. I think that's pretty much it, but if you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask me or even the instructors :) Enjoy, hope to see you around!! ♥

    2. I'm not sure if you mean that you've tried it already but just in case you don't know, they have first timer rates 1,000 for one week unlimited and 3,000 for one month unlimited. Bring a water bottle, a lock and a towel for showering. Everything else is pretty much provided there! If it's your first time taking a hot class try to get a spot where you won't be under the heaters, and try to stay in the second row or anywhere else as long as you can see yourself in the mirror. And bringing a friend along is always more fun :) I hope that helps!!
