Yellow Halo

Yellow Halo - The guilt-free kitchen!

My Tomato, Basil, Cottage Cheese Sandwich PHP 90 (260 calories)

Chesca's Mongolian Beef PHP 230 (450 calories)

We both ordered one Mango Fruity each PHP 65 (100 calories)

Comments / More Information:
- Both my sandwich and Chesca's brown rice weren't served hot, or even warm
- Chesca's Mongolian Beef also came with a free iced tea, which practically tasted like hot tea with ice in it. The vegetables and the beef were really bland
- Their mango shake's sweetness relies only on the mangoes that they used, no sugar added
- I was really disappointed considering that I was excited and super hungry from my hot yoga class. I guess I shouldn't have expected much for a meal less than 500 calories. It was too good to be true! </3
- The restaurant's located on the 22nd floor of Strata 100 which is the Wellness Complex. You can also find 360 Fitness Club, Yoga+, Polecats Manila, Spaholics, and a derma on this floor

Coming Soon: Boon Tong Kee in Rockwell

Definition (taken from their website)
In 1979, Mr. Thian Boon Hua started a small stall in Chinatown serving Cantonese chicken rice. Building upon the popularity of his silky white sauce chicken rice and emphasis on quality service, he rallied his family members to establish Boon Tong Kee’s first restaurant at Balestier Road in 1983.
In its second year of operation, the restaurant started to garner rave reviews and accolades from industry luminaries and customers. Before long, outlets at MacPherson Road, Whampoa West, River Valley Road, Cheong Chin Nam Road and East Coast Road followed in rapid succession.
The company diversified its operations in 1999 to include "Zi Char" (home-style cooked food) and eateries. From the traditional Balestier Road outlet to the upscale River Valley branch, Boon Tong Kee has enthralled Singaporeans and tourists alike with its delectable food and friendly staff.

Description (taken from their Facebook page)
Sariwon has become synonymous with serving legendary Bulgogi since its beginnings in 1938. The restaurant was established by grandmother Mrs. Bun-Im Koo from the town of Sariwon in North Korea, who developed an extraordinary broth recipe for Korean traditional beef barbecue or Bulgogi. Made from 12 different kinds of fruits and vegetables and prepared in complete disregard of sugar, it was created
with love for her diabetic husband.

Mrs. Koo opened her first restaurant with twenty seats serving friends and neighbors. More than seventy years and two generations later, Sariwon has grown into a powerful, multi-awarded presence in South Korea with its main branch having over 500 square meters and 350 seats. Awarded "Best Korean Restaurant" by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Sariwon's perennial popularity and devoted following are a tribute to Mrs. Koo revolutionizing the traditional art of Bulgogi. Aside from the best-selling bulgogi, Sariwon is also famed for its galbi or barbecued beef short ribs, with the New York Times proclaiming it as “the most tender and succulent in Seoul.”

Finally coming to Manila, Filipinos now have the opportunity to enjoy Sariwon's delicious and authentic Bulgogi and Galbi, in honor of Mrs. Koo's lasting legacy.
